"GOD'S LOVE"

Someone asked, “How much does God love me?”

Answer – Jesus spread out his arms on the cross symbolizing – “THIS MUCH”

"THIS IS AMAZING GRACE"

I’d like to share the lyrics of this inspiring song by Phil Wickham

Who breaks the power of sin and darkness
Whose love is mighty and so much stronger
The King of Glory, the King above all kings

Who shakes the whole earth with holy thunder
And leaves us breathless in awe and wonder
The King of Glory, the King above all kings

This is amazing grace
This is unfailing love
That You would take my place
That You would bear my cross
You lay down Your life
That I would be set free
Oh, Jesus, I sing for
All that You've done for me

"WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE"

I’m so sorry to say that there are a lot of individuals who live their lives thinking they are worthless, failures, losers or just plain victims of their situations. They go about with a mindset of existing for the sake of making it to the next day. As they face challenges and opportunities they don’t persevere or have patience to prevail.

Let me remind all of us that we have to realize who we are because of whose we are. I’m not proposing that we be overconfident to the point of arrogance. If we know that our heavenly Father made us special and unique then we are priceless and precious in His sight. Whatever we are facing today, we are not alone! We are overcomers and victorious simply because we are loved by our ever faithful God.

"TIME TO CHANGE"

One of our biggest frustrations and irritations that cause heartache and pain is when others don’t seem to change to our expectations. Let’s face it, we want others to be everything that makes us joyful and fulfilled. If only they would see their faults, failures and flaws they’d change for the better. It just so happens that we cannot change anyone no matter how hard we try.

Let me however encourage you that one thing we can change is ourselves. Our response, reaction and our replies. Stop focusing on how others should change and let's look at ourselves in the mirror. Ask yourself, “What’s it like living with me?” Oh by the way, God can change others. Have you tried praying and asking Him to change the other person for the best?

"IN THE END"

When Jesus came He turned our values upside down. He taught us that our pursuit of life was focused on the wrong values. When the end finally comes and we breathe our last, it is not those with the biggest bank accounts, biggest house, sleekest car, most successful business or even the most prestigious name who will stand in victory. It won’t even be those who feed the most hungry or built more churches or funded orphanages or even pastored the biggest churches.

God the Father looks into our hearts and sees if we truly believed and loved His Son Jesus. The evidence of this is how we love others and live to tell others about the unconditional love of God for them to have eternal life. John 6:29 says, "The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent." Have we fulfilled the work of God?

"WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS"

All our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry, everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer! Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged, take it to the Lord in prayer.

Can we find a friend so faithful, who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness, take it to the Lord in prayer. Are we weak and heavy-laden, cumbered with a load of care? Precious Savior, still our refuge-Take it to the Lord in prayer. Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer; In His arms He'll take and shield thee, Thou wilt find a solace there. [Joseph Medlicott Scriven (1819-1886)]

"BULLIES"

A guy wrote: “There used to be this bully who would demand my lunch money - my “baon” everyday. Since I was smaller, I would give it to him. Then I decided to fight back. I started taking karate lessons, but the instructor wanted P50 per lesson. That was a lot of money. I found that it was cheaper to pay the bully, so I gave up karate.”

Too many Christians end up giving in to the bully than learning how to defeat him! Don’t let the devil bully you! When our faith is in God His strength becomes our strength and His power becomes our power. Bullies run and hide!

"NO PAIN, NO GAIN"

We’ve all heard that phrase before. If we really want something so badly we need to put in much more than what is ‘just enough’ to the point of even suffering. Simply coasting along in comfort gets us no where. This principle works for our business, relationships, personal discipline and life in general.

If we want to develop a strong spiritual life, we must likewise be willing to give of our time and service to God. Just going to church every Sunday is not enough. That’s like eating one meal a week. The more effort we put into learning about God thru His Word daily the deeper and more solid our faith will become. All this will result into blessings, as we will become fit for the storms, trials and hardships of life. Jesus went thru the agony and painful sacrifice of the cross to give us a future and a hope.

"YOU ARE BLESSED"

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million who will not survive the week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture or the pangs of starvation, you are more blessed than the 500 million people around the world who have experienced this.

If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest or torture of death, you are more blessed than almost three billion people in the world who cannot worship God in freedom.

If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of the people in this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace, you are among the top 8% of the worlds wealthy. You are Blessed!

"GOD IS FOR US"

This is a truth that we need to embrace. If perhaps you are reading this with a heavy heart facing overwhelming struggles no one knows about – you are not alone. His Word promises us, "If God is for us, who is against us?" (Romans 8:31).

Think about what that means: absolutely nothing can touch us unless God allows it. We are protected through and through! We have an Almighty Defender standing between us and the world. Whatever hardship comes into our lives must first pass through God's divine, all-loving hands.

"IF NOT"

If not for Your Goodness, If not for Your Grace, If not for Your Kindness, I don't know where I would be today.

If not for Your Mercy, If not for Your Love, I most likely would have given up.If not for Your Favor, I never could say, I'm still standing. But by the Grace of God.

"YOUR LIFE IS LIKE A CAMERA"

You have got to focus it right, to get the right results and right picture of your life. Having the right focus brings four results:

1. It simplifies things. When you’re not clear as to your purpose, you try to do too much-and that causes stress, inner conflict and confusion.

2. It gives you direction. If you want your life to have impact, consult God, and then do what He tells you.

3. It energizes you. It’s meaningless work, not overwork, which wears you down.

4. It determines your legacy. When people recall your name, what will they associate with it? Ultimately, what matters isn’t what others say about you, but what God says. Agape

"THE TWO-MINUTE WARNING"

Here are some questions that might apply in light of the fact that buzzer of life might blow soon.

1. Why are people spending so much of their life building a bigger and bigger stack of earth-stuff?

2. Why are people not spending a lot more time with Jesus, so they'll know Him better when they see Him?

3. Why are people not doing more to get the people they care about ready to meet Jesus?

4. And most important, are people sure they belong to Jesus? How much longer are people going to wait to open their hearts to Him? It's pretty late in the game.

That's why the Bible says, "Today is the time. Today is the day of salvation."

"Don't Lie to Yourself"

It is so easy to deceive ourselves into living a lie. I need this as much as we all do. If we don’t admit it and deal with it, we will never break free and live victoriously.

1. I’m okay – This covers up our pain, failures, and weaknesses. It hinders us from being authentic. The Bible tells us to “Examine Ourselves.”

2. No one will ever know – This guilty thought will haunt us forever. The Bible says, “Everything hidden will be exposed.”

3. No one gets hurt – When we choose to lie we choose not to only hurt the other person but ourselves as well. God Himself is grieved and pained by our bad choices.

4. I can’t change – This is an easy way to escape! Sure it is not easy but our God who made us and lives in us can do all things, including changing us.

Thankfully, believing these lies as much as we want won’t turn them into the truth. Don’t “live a lie – love the truth”

"I WISH"

Let’s not wait till it’s too late to regret. The best time is NOW!

1. I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
2. I wish I didn't work so hard.
3. I wish I'd had the courage to express my feelings.
4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

Life is a choice. It is your life. Choose consciously, choose wisely and choose honestly. Choose joy. Choose to love. STOP saying, “I wish” and start saying, “I WILL.”

EMPTY HEART"

Yes there are times when we feel that our hearts are empty. We have lost all hope. We tried everything to settle an issue or find a solution but to no avail. Our experience, connections, education, resources and even perseverance was not enough. We get to the point of losing all hope.

Just like the disciples who fished all night and caught nothing they were downcast and disheartened. Until Jesus came and told Peter to cast his net one more time. Peter answered, “Because you say so, I will let down the nets.” You know that the nets filled with fish to overflowing. Imagine if we likewise take Jesus at His Word our hearts would be filled to overflowing.

"GENUINE RICHES"

Those who are blessed with finances and the finer things of this world are at greatest risk to put their trust in possessions and material assets. It is important to pay attention to where we put our trust. It is so easy to become reliant on financial and material comfort in a time where economic status is a standard of our achievement and is envied and desired by most people today.

However, the only sure, real, and lasting security comes from our Loving God and He supplies us with the wealth and riches that will never fade away. The riches of God, that have very little to do with things we collect on this earth, are those that He supplies to every one who believes in Him and He pours out these riches to us in abundance and with His pleasure. "HEART OVERFLOW"

What comes out of our mouth today, death or life, truth or lies? The answer to that all depends on whatever fills our heart. Jesus said in Luke 6:45, ". . . out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." If we've got a problem with lying, we have a heart problem. A person with a harsh tongue has an angry heart. A person with a negative tongue has a fearful heart. A person with a boasting tongue has an insecure heart.

Lying begins in our heart. Jesus can do a heart transplant for us today. He said in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new person. The old has passed away. Behold all things have become new." When we surrender our life to Jesus Christ, He wipes out everything we've done in the past. He gives us a new life, a new heart, and a new Spirit.

"YOU ARE BLESSED"

If you own just one Bible, you are abundantly blessed. 1/3 of the world does not have access to even one. If you can hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not. If you can read this message, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read anything at all. Read your Bible.

If you believe in Jesus as the Son of God, and your Savior, you are part of a very small minority in the world. If you prayed yesterday and today, you are blessed because you believe in God's willingness to hear and answer your prayer. If you can hold someone's hand, hug them or even touch them on the shoulder, you are blessed because you can offer God's healing touch.

"TRUST"

We use contracts, lawyers, witnesses, notary publics etc… because a handshake or our word of honor just won’t suffice. People break their trust by turning their backs, lying, denying, falsifying and deceiving. We can’t trust others until they have earned it.

Children jump from heights into their father’s arms without hesitating. Our failure to blindly jump into the loving care of our faithful God keeps us from experiencing miracles. In our daily lives we must be confident enough to allow God to handle our issues - relying on Him even if we don’t see or understand how He can possibly tackle it. Trust is putting our heart in His hands.

"GOD DOESN"T LIE"

Oh, if you ask me, that’s one of the most wonderful truths in life! Our society is full of liars. It causes us to lose confidence, respect, security, and hope. If we truly believe that God doesn’t lie our actions would reflect our belief.

When our circumstances are out of control do we hold on to God’s Word that promises us His peace, strength, hope, and blessings? His promises are real whether we believe them or not. Let’s not miss out on them by taking action on our own power and ability that is of no comparison to His. Trust and Believe.

"SILENT PRAYER"

A father took his small son with him to town one day to run some errands. When lunchtime arrived, the two of them went to a familiar diner for a sandwich. The father sat down on one of the stools at the counter and lifted the boy up to the seat beside him. They ordered lunch, and when the waiter brought the food, the father said, "Son, we'll just have a silent prayer."

Dad got through praying first and waited for the boy to finish his prayer, but he just sat with his head bowed for an unusually long time. When he finally looked up, his father asked him, "What in the world were you praying about all that time?" With the innocence and honesty of a child, he replied, "How do I know? It was a silent prayer." Our Daily Bread

We often forget to listen when we pray.

"WORDS"

Before any word comes out of our mouth, we should ask, “Does this stir up love for God? Does this encourage love for others?” In order to determine whether or not what we say is truly loving, let’s put it through the test of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8:

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.

"BEHAVIOR"

Instead of telling me what you are about, SHOW me. Character is evidenced when we determine to consistently live out our values. In everyday life situations, our reaction and response shouts out who we are and what we stand for. Scary isn’t it? We can’t hide our real self too long. Even plastic fruit melts.

The way behavior changes is from its origin and that’s our thoughts. What we believe leads to how we behave. People form their opinion of us by what they see in our outward appearance, then by what they hear, then finally by how we act. Hopefully our lives impact others for good to make a difference.

"SPEAK THE TRUTH IN LOVE"

Truth should never be used as a weapon. Most people fall into one of two categories. We’re either truth bashers or truth avoiders. Either we speak it with no regard of the feelings of the other person or we remain silent choosing not to help the other person or get on their bad side. In both instances, what is missing is love.

We must balance the truth that we speak to others with love so that they will receive it without choking on it or choking us for it. If we truly love someone we must declare the truth. The truth hurts and can easily ruin our relationship with them. Jesus spoke the truth to others willing to sacrifice His life for the sake of love. We must be truth seekers and truth speakers if we are followers of the TRUTH.

“YOU ARE HERE”

If you’ve ever been to a large shopping mall, you’ve probably looked at a map by the entrance, to figure out where to go next. One thing that map always has is a large arrow pointing to one location, with “You Are Here” written above it. A GPS system has something similar, with a marker to show where you are, and a route to where you want to go.

Maps can be confusing, and if you don’t know where you’re starting, you have no frame of reference to get where you want to go. It’s the same with our personal walk in faith. To create a plan to be all we can be, we need to know who we are right now and what we want to become in the future. God’s desire for us is to be more like His Son Jesus. He doesn’t want us to stay in one place forever. That’s why He sends us tests to get us moving hopefully in the right direction.

"OUR REAL HOME"

Once upon a time, a man was shipwrecked on a deserted Island. The Island was beautiful. It had fresh water, fruits of all kinds, and plenty of animal life to eat. The man thought he had found paradise, and he would have stayed on that island except for one thing, it was full of stinging insects. Every time he went out of his little hut the insects would come and bite him. It was the insects that made him want to leave, and so he made a boat, and as soon as it was ready he set sail, and sailed all the way home.

Do you have trouble in this life? They are like those stinging insects. They make us homesick for Heaven – our real home. Let the troubles of this life cause us to seek the better home that God has prepared for us. Let’s not be so comfortable with this world that we want to hang on forever. God sends us troubles to remind us that this is not our real home.

“ALL FOR OUR GOD”

When we face a difficult world each day, we sometimes wonder if God even cares. Where is God when we need Him? Even in the midst of turmoil, God sticks with us and uses those challenges to shape us. When we understand that, our perspective completely changes.

No longer do we see our setbacks as failures; we see them as moments when God, our loving Father, is working on us. And that’s exactly why we can trust in the Lord with all our hearts. He cares for us each and every day. He gives us what we need to thrive. He pours blessing after blessing upon us.

“LEAVE ME ALONE”

If you simply just want to use me and take advantage of me.
If you intend to discard me when you discover my faults.
If you can’t respect me for who I am.
If you judge me without knowing what I have been through.
If you have no patience to listen to my pain.
If you don’t have tolerance for my weaknesses.
If you will eventually slander and gossip to others about me.
If you won’t be willing to suffer with me in silence.
If you can’t protect my heart from hurts and harm.

The truth is, I have a God who loves me for who I am and promised never to leave me alone.
